"The New York Jests or the New York Jets, that is the question". What can be said about the New York Football Jets that hasn't already been said, in terms of a team being the laughing stock of an entire league. They should be renamed the New York Jests (and aptly so). Watching them this season has been an exercise in futility surpassed, one can only imagine, by actually playing for or coaching the team.

Tim Tebow has been embarrassed as a football player by this organization and is VERY upset, as he should be, and as I am, that he has not been named the starting quarterback of the New York Football Jets in the upcoming game against the Buffalo Bills, even as their season has been flushed down the tube and the team has no hope of making the playoffs. At least he can have even a quantum of solace knowing he will not be there next season.

Rex Ryan, a coach that I actually like, support, and previously thought should return next season has made the biggest mistake of his career by not starting Tim Tebow. Going back to Mark Sanchez after Greg McElroy suffered a concussion after being sacked 11times in last weeks loss against the San Diego Chargers should cost Rex Ryan his job. I know it sounds a little sudden but its exactly what should happen. Its been one bad decision after another with Rex Ryan and when it comes to accountability and honesty Rex seems to be allergic to these characteristics.

This is the same guy who said this seasons team is the best he has ever had, he also said Mark Sanchez has had great moments this season, he said this is still a top 5 defense to him, he touted his punter after squeaking by a hapless Arizona team. The one good thing you can say about Rex Ryan right now is that he can put a positive spin on any situation. He should be in politics instead of head coaching a football team. From the word on the wire he might want to be fired.

Rex Ryan, although very culpable, is not the only one responsible for the complete ineptitude of the Jests I mean Jets this season. Mike Tannenbaum is just as responsible, if not more-so, and he is said to be losing his position as the Jets General Manager first thing Monday Morning (that's Monday December 31, 2012) "CAN'T WAIT".  Mike Tannenbaum has been the worst general manager in the history of general manager-dom. He is a numbers guy, a capologist, and should not be in charge of any personel decisions as it pertains to talent. he should focus only on contracts and other numbers issues. This guy has made some of the worst talent decisions ever and I am glad his head is rolling come Monday.

That's it for my Jests, I mean Jets rant for now. C YA NEXT TIME
